Did the Rinadeena Falls walk and then onto the Long Tarns yesterday. The Rinadeena Falls walk is a beautiful and easy walk, the rain forests with the huge myrtle's, very big waratah, sassafras and mountain pepper trees are really magnificent. The falls are really very pretty with the most amazing array of different moss growing on the falls face as the attached photo will show. We then set out for the Long Tarns walking along the valley beside the Turrana Bluff. It is really beautiful up on the plateau and the country really change rapidly from the rain forest. The walk into Rimadeena took one hour and the walk to Long Tarn one and a half hours, in total the walk was 16.5KM. The walk to the falls is an easy walk for beginners and a photographer's paradise. Another Tasmania gem.

its hard for me to think of a better forest walk. if you take a camera and tripod on the walk there are plenty of distractions to make it a whole days walk.
