Three Capes Walk Proposal feedback opportunity

Sat 31 Jul, 2010 6:13 pm

Not sure whether this is the right forum or whether it should go into Controversy Corner, but thought it may be of interest to some members:

Tim Morris MP will be facilitating a meeting between Parks Minister David O’Byrne and Tasman Peninsula residents (up to and including Dunalley) and interested business people on Friday 20th August. This will be an opportunity to hear the Government's perspective and share your thoughts, which should lead to better informed decisions that make sense locally.

If you wish to come along and be part of this meeting please call Tim’s office on ph 6263 3801.

Is it open to representatives from the bushwalking community? I would think that someone from the Hobart Walking Club should attend as that club did so much of the track development work on the Tasman Peninsular, or from the Bushwalk Tasmania Federation.

Maybe particularly any members who live or have business interests down there?
The notice came to me via a Tas Greens supporters' email, but why not forward it to your contacts down at HWC?
Tim's office could always say no I suppose, but that wouldn't be very good PR.
