I read this guy's diary ages ago. Thought all you Tasmanians may take an interest.
Born in Penguin, Tasmania, Keith started his bushwalking and mountain-climbing career from a base in Launceston in 1931. He kept a diary in which he recorded all his walks and climbs in great detail and with formidable precision.

Keith Lancaster's Diaries get a regular mention in the forum, Cocksy. I uploaded a photo and a map of his Federation Peak climb a few years ago here -
