FYI - the mods have clarified previously that this doesn't mean "don't post stuff". It's only if the area is "sensitive" that PMs should be used.

Sensitive, and specific.
Like, it's ok to say I'm going to do the Frenchmans circuit and finish at Victoria Pass, but it would be less OK to, for example, give GPS coordinates of areas across the top of Flat Bluff where there are no tracks.
If the information is broadly available it's usually not a problem, but if in doubt, best to play it safe.
(Hat on) We're not the fun police, we just want to keep as many groups (including PWS) as happy as we can. (Hat off again).

I trekked a fair portion of that route a couple years back, and happy to discuss (offline if required).
I don't think it would be as enjoyable in April as it is statistically wetter, but moreso the shorter daylight hours.
There are seaplanes and helicopters available from Strahan. An unlikely cheaper alternative is a lift from a crayfishing operator (Nov-Jan).

cheers, its more due to necessity in april but it would be much better in Dec i think. chopper quoted $1360 for the flight and $1360 per hour for food drops, so Im looking for alternative options for both.

You could try the Abalone divers working out of Strahan....they cover a large section of coast and normally go down and back on the same day....so I'm sure you could tee up a trip with them??
