Just come back from a 3 dayer to Cape Pillar.
Group of 8 taking it easy in blissfully calm & sunny winter weather over the Queens Birthday Long Weekend.
Water situation was much better than expected, below a screenshot out of my GPS software (I'm still pretty much a GPS n00b, maybe there are better ways of doing this???). Blue flags show sources of water that I'm happy to use. There were more, but these are the main ones that I captured.

Is that map directly off your GPS unit? Have you used Oziexplorer with Tasmaps?
That word cruisy had me quickly checking your profile as I thought that could only be one person. Sure enough
Anyway hope it was a nice walk. My last one there was a super disaster as I got flown into rocks; what a mess

Hello Peter,
The map is a screenshot of the Mapsource software that came with my Garmin eTrex Legend Cx.
Mapping used is the freeware Shonkymaps. I also have the freeware Contours Australia loaded, but that's not shown in the screenshot.
Yes, walk was very nice, one of my fav areas in Tas. Plenty of off-track exploring still to be done too

2nd-last trip we had similar issues there, people tumbling all over the place. Am quite surprised that no one got hurt ... combo of some rushing mindlessly and sharp rocks that could easily cause some very nasty head injuries or breaks.
