Hey Guys, Thanks for having me. My 11 year old Son and I have recently started walking, we have completed two separate walks to Collins Cap and then Collins Bonnet, from Myrtle Forest, over the last Month or so and are now hooked. We are looking for some suitable day walks and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Kane and Joel.

There are lots of day walks on Mt Wellington - Trestle Mountain, Wellington Falls, Icehouse Track. Catrhedral Rock. Othedrs near Hobart with a bit of a drive - Mt Field West, Mt Field East, Florentine Peak, Tarn Shelf: Hartz: Tasman Peninsula - Cape Huay, Cape Raoul - , Shipstern Bluff. Some of those should keep you busy for a while and then you can go further afield.

Nice view in the photo - Collins Bonnet?

Thanks for the reply Graham, heaps of great ideas mate. Yeah, the pic is Collins Bonnet, we were looking forward to the view, didn't quite work out that way, fog and sleet made sure of that. It was still beautiful though and an awesome bonding session for Joel and I. Kane

I can certainly highly recommend trestle mtn, the views are great! we didn't quite make it along to mt marian, but that's certainly on the list too. could also try the snowy range i guess, didn't think that was too far out? also south cape bay from cockle creek is a lovely and fairly easy walk.

Cathedral Rock is another great day walk. 4 hours return from Betts Road, off Huon Road near Sandfly.
