Little Fisher Valley

Postby Davo1 » Fri 17 May, 2013 10:04 pm

For those that are interested in catching Rinadena Falls at their best nows a good time, the falls are flowing well and the Fungi are also plentiful.

In saying that we had a trip up there today and was amazed at the deterioration of the bridge over Little Fisher River in the past 8 months. In fact a loose board did a little damage to the vehicle, nothing serious but enough for me to mention here that if you are crossing the bridge to be careful.

I love this area , it may not be the most challenging walk, but for a short walk it certainly is most enjoyable. We visit probably twice a year and never get tired of it.

These photos are not the best, I will post a link to a bunch of photos once I get them uploaded, in the meantime heres a couple including the bridge so you get an idea what it's like.

There was a good discussion on preferences recently so this ones for the purists that prefer faster shutter speed.

This is my preference...... The good ones I'll post in the Gallery later.

Must have been a bit cooler than we thought.

Nice pictures and really interesting to see the waterfalls side by side Davo.
I prefer the fast shutter speed but they are both great shots.
It's interesting how the slow speed takes the sheen of the fern fronds........foreground slow, waterfall fast....perfecto

Thanks neilmny.
There are some more in trhe Gallery with a link to quite a few fast and slow comparisons, althoughI'll admit it leans toward the slow :-) Couldn't be bothered sorting them all out so I posted a link to the lot, the good the bad and the ugly
Not sure why the difference in sheen, it could be one of many things, some I used a Polarizer and some I didn't, some had mist on the lens and some didn't, had a terrible time with the spray.
I'm just glad to get some ok ones from time to time.
Once again, thanks for the comments, appreciate it.
