Mt Ironstone

Hi all,

Managed a stroll up onto the Plateau on the 13th September via Syds Track. Lovely day, only trouble was we fell just short of the final goal....Ironstone..! :cry:

Seemed we approached from slightly the wrong angle...

Have attached some snaps from the day.

Yes it is tricky to find the right path to this mountain ..and find a return path . Perhaps the easiest reference is from Whiteley's Hut if you look toward the mountain , then look to the right ..looking south , south east , you'll see a single pine tree. That is the general direction of the track . Once at the top , its fairly easy to follow.
