Cuckoo falls track

Postby Gargie » Thu 27 Nov, 2014 5:23 pm

G'day all got into Cuckoo falls today. National parks have the track closed but it did not seem as bad as they say on the sign. Few fallen trees (climbed over or went around) Plenty of water flowing over the falls so got some really nice photos. File too big to put on here sorry. Ralphs falls track is closed as well but with a bit of care we walked down to these falls as well a couple of weeks ago. What is going on with National park in Tasmania closing tracks so quick. Cheers keep safe Happy walking.

The tracks that are being closed are those that were ex Forestry. When the lands and associated infrastructure passed to Parks last year, most were in a fair to poor state, with various risk and safety issues. Until issues are resolved closure may be temporary to permanent.
