Found some 1:50,0000 geological survey maps (colour) FS

I stopped at Deloraine yesterday en route to a walk. Noticed the antiques and collectibles shop in the Main Street had a number of 1:50,000 Geological Survey of Tasmania maps with topographic base. These are in colour and I'm told they are an earlier series that may no longer be generally available. The shop had them singly rolled up for $4-00 each or folded in packs of two for $7-00 each (a lucky dip as the bundled ones don't necessarily relate). The selection is limited but I thought it may be of interest. I grabbed a $7 pack containing Huntley and Macquarie Harbour; some of the detail in some of these maps would be of interest to bushwalkers I think. Or just a collectors item? Note, I have no association with the store and can't even recall the name, but the maps were on display outside the front door.

Who cares about useful? Maps are fascinating things in their own right and these sound absolutely intriguing.

Yep, I'm a bit of a tragic for maps and couldn't resist these. :)

Hi corvus. The two I have, Huntley and Macquarie Harbour, show published 1982 and 1989 respectively. I'd assume the others would be similar vintage but I didn't examine all of them.
