We have done this wander twice, once each direction. Overall water was no problem and we did not feel the need to treat any of it. We typically only carried a litre with us each day and topped up on the way.
The only area to take care and carry more water if it is warm or hot is the traverse section of the South West Cape Range. The Northern tarn mentioned by Chapman is essentially non existent any more, so do not rely on it. Also the area is subject to much damage and erosion which I feel is due to camping. There is a tarn I would rely on at the very Southern end, but please do not camp here to protect the delicate environment.
