Overnight Walks for Little People and Their Pack Mules

G'day Mark ,
Do you think Jack could manage this about 10km (no pack of course ) and it would be a good long walk for Liam (he would cruise it in tell him Corvus said ) I can show him another type of "cave" .

Yeah, Jack would be alright, it's probably one of his next walks, and Liam will lap it up.
It's just I'm not quite ready for the responsibility of both of them at once on an o/nighter yet, in a couple more years I'll have more one on one time up with each of them and they'll have a bit more experience. As Brett touched on above, I too notice the anxiety go up a bit when totally responsible for someone else on a walk.

when are the Holidays as I need to go West for my No 1 sons birthday ,can we coordinate this please as I would like to do both .

Grail Falls (end of Mersey Forest Rd) and

Lake Judd (SW NP)

I'd think twice about taking the sprog to Lake Mudd unless it's high summer and in the midst of a drought - unless you're willing to carry her most of the way.
Not because it's that hard, but she's probably short enough that the bogs will go over her head.

Grail Falls (end of Mersey Forest Rd)

Hi TCP, If you think Narawntapu would be "boring" as an overnighter for children, you would be dissapointed with this option.
Whilst Grail Falls itself is lovely, the walk in has very little Wow factor. Sure, it's doable with children, but I'd only choose this as a destination in itself after the list above was exhausted. I know what your getting at with regards to Narawntapu,
ie, theres no need to o/night there, but young children dont think " This is'nt a real overnighter because the car is just over there", only us adults think that.
Anyway, glad you got into the Scout Hut - should fit the bill of adventure all round, especially with the weather we've been having.
