We were there 3 weeks ago, we were alone at Tahune for 2 nights, lucky us! Didn't see any tent site or platform that looked new but it was our first time, and yeah easter would be very busy looking at the log books for previous years, you should avoid it. The new track skips two old campsites, so there is no camping option between the Loddon river and Vera hut.
