WANTED - Images of Lake Geeves

Postby Richardj » Thu 24 Mar, 2016 2:57 pm

Hi All,
I'm the head of vision for the Mercury newspaper. We are looking at the story about a track into Lake Geeves and need some pictures. Everyone seems to take photos of a big rock quite close to it... (fed peak  )
If you have any that you'd be happy for us to publish (with full credit of course) Please message me or email at richard.jupe@(notTHISbit)news.com.au.
Please note we are not in the position to pay for any images, but we are very appreciative of any help!
Cheers Richard

Richard it would be useful to know the angle of the article. I can't see you getting too much help around here if it is to be a pro-development piece.

FYI, nothing do do with the tragic death yesterday.
The article is regarding a track from Farmhouse Creek to Lake Geeves, is part of a proposal being put forward by Huon Valley councillor Ken Studley as a way to boost employment and prosperity in the Huon.

If anyone is thinking about offering them, I'd ask for payment.

The photos are clearly hard to get/are rare enough, otherwise the paper would publish them. Alternatively they'd send someone to get them.

It's also clearly valuable for the story, otherwise they wouldn't ask.

Don't feel like you should give your property to profitable companies (even if it is for a full credit)

Also it's pretty funny that you're not paying for photos in an article about boosting employment.

Surely Ken Studley would have walked in and visited the area and have photos if he is so keen on putting an eco-lodge there?

...or maybe Studley can stump up some cash to pay someone for a photo if the area.
Surely you can offer something of tangible value for a photo??

Hi Richard.

Nothing personal... But I notice the email address is @news.com.au, a NewsCorp company, but you're not in a position to offer payment for a photo you wish to publish?

Must be tough times for the $15b Murdochs if they can't afford to pay for a photo.

Hi Richard, could I please have a subscription to The Mercury? I'm not in a position to pay for it, but you know, I'd be very appreciative :)

Now, heres is some news.

Even Consultants don't need to walk in.

Just read the other Reports of previous consultants who Refer to the comprehensive works of renowned naturist John Cleese and his Two volumed works "Funny Walks In Tasmania"

Ok, I'm going...
