Wilmot River Walks Update

Postby billshep » Sun 07 Nov, 2010 5:34 pm

We have rationalised our routes on the Wilmot River due to the workload involved in keeping tracks open after so many storms and floods. None of the routes south of Spellmans Bridge will now be maintained. The main core of tracks between the Alma Bridge and Spellmans will be maintained to our usual standard. I have closed my website Wilmot River Walks, and will update the DVD held by State Library as soon as possible

Thanks to all who support and enjoy the tracks, sorry about the original typo in the title. I have re -vamped an old blog I have on Bigpond to give current track information, and I will try to keep this up to date. You can get it by googling Wilmot River blog or enter http://dooleytrack.bigblog.com.au/index ... 0&m=10&d=8
I have an article on the Dooley track in the new edition of the Tasmanian Tramp(HWC Journal)

It is easier to go down a hill than up, but the view is much better at the top.
