best walk/scenery for a 2-3 day walk.

ok so im looking for a walk for 1 or 2 nights, with some awesome scenery! want to show off tas to someone who is at about an average level of hiking (OT would be fine, but WA is still above the experience level). im looking to make a bit of an impact on this person, in the hope of convincing them to get more into walking...

so, any ideas?

Mt Field national park has some very worthwile scenery without being too difficult.

Mt Anne is another as is Schnells ridge.

King william range is also very good.

King William is a good one, but besides an easy day walk to KWI it is all untracked which might be asking a bit much.

I'd suggest the Mt Anne circuit. It can easily be done in 2 long days, or make it 2 nights and take in al the views. The scenery is as rugged and stunning as you will find anywhere. And besides the Notch and rock hopping over Mt Lot, it's all on a very good track.

Yeah, mt Anne has been one that keeps on floating around in my head, i do like the south west area...

The labyrinth, with 3 days you can go up the acropolis this first day and stay at the hut, next day go in to the labyrinth or climb mt Gould, you can even avoid sleeping in tents by going back down to the hut then walk back to lake st Clair on the 3rd day

thats also a good suggestion, but I would have said... "you can even avoid sleeping in the HUTS by bringing your own tent......

Ferry up lake St Clair and walk up to Pine Valley to camp. Then 1/2 to full day walks from this base to The Acropolis and The Labyrinth. That would have to be hard to beat.

If you like coastal scenery and easy access from Hobart then the Tasman Coastal Park has some spectacular cliffs, seal colonies and coastal heath. While one of the campsites is public the other two are quite isolated and small.
