Little Fisher Valley - Damage

Postby Thomas » Mon 31 Jan, 2011 1:47 pm

Hey all,

In light of all the recent info that has been forthcoming on flood damage to tracks & access roads in the north, does anyone know if the old vehicle bridge across the little fisher river survived the recent onslaught..??

If not, there's a fair chance the foot bridges giving access into the little fisher valley are gone too..??

Regards,
Thomas.

Hey all,

Has anyone recently been into the Little Fisher Valley area..??? I'm interested to know if the area sustained any damage to access bridges.

Never received any replies to my last post on this one... :(

Any info or pics would be great....

Thx
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Yep the bridges are still there on the Little Fisher approach, or were 3 weeks ago and there hasn't been a flood since then.
A group of Strollers were up there a few months back and there was a massive flood, but no damage. The creek from Rinadeena falls was impassable and a long detour was neccessary to find a log to cross on.
Rain was in the 100mm+ overnight.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you need to drink more.
