South Coast Track via Google Earth

Hi,

Just got back from a great 10 days on the South Coast Track. An amazing part of the world.

Inspired me to create a video of the track in Google Earth. Hopefully this will be of use to future walkers to visualise what lies ahead of them.

Hi Jon,

Nice animation you have there. I see you started your South Coast walk on Sunday March 6 and took 10 days. I was crossing the Ironbound Range on March 6 and it was a glorious clear day, with a high pressure system sitting smack bang over Tas! We started on Friday March 4 and had actually been scheduled to go in on Wednesday March 2, except the weather prevented us flying. We used up our spare days before we started, so didn’t get to hang about and explore other camps like Osmiridum Beach, or have a rest day. My friends and I would love to have spent at least a whole day at Little Deadmans Bay and/or South Cape Rivulet!
