Tarkine Solo -Trial Harbour to Arthur River

Has anyone walked this part of the coast before ?, any advice on major barriers,potential problems,campsites,river crossings and points of interest would be appreciated. Is it realistic to expect to be able to hitch a boat ride across the Pieman at Hardwick Bay ? (south to north)
Alternatively is there track access to Pieman head from Corinna ?

Pieman would be a large obstacle. Perhaps you could packraft it if you were so inclined. Best bet might be to talk to the folks at Corinna to see if you can organise a pickup and transfer on the Arcadia. Unless they have a cruise on that day, it might work out expensive as its a fair haul from Corinna to the heads. Would also have to be pre-arranged as there is no mobile phone access. Perhaps if you were prepared to wait a local would come by and give you a lift over. No direct track from Corinna to the heads and additionally there is a bit of a river in the way (Donaldson) on the north side.

There's a lovely lass lady mcgyver on this site who has done this walk.
I meant to do it last year but time restraints came up. She gave me a heap of info and pictures from her trip including the contact details for the ferryman at the pieman. Search her out and send her a PM and she will willingly help you out im sure.

When I was on the Arcadia trip yesterday I asked about arrangements for ferrying walkers across the Pieman Heads. They are happy to do it for a small charge. They just need to know what day you want to be transferred and will do it while the tourists are having their lunchtime walkabout. If there is more than one or two walkers they need to know so that they can bring their bigger dinghy with them. They are also happy to do food drops.
