PWS is not a department, but a statutory body under DPIPWE. Semantics yes, and they are only minnows in the government machinations. Hopefully Rangers will put infringement notices in the can't be bothered category.

Well it's good to see things slowly improving with the Parks Pass system. Incidentally the Overland Track Booking System cost a helluva lot more than $200,000 and easily covered its development costs within one season. A couple of hundred-thou is not a great deal in terms of decent IT project.

Don't confuse the muppets in suits and ties with the hardworking regular people doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes. A few lazy, self serving middle managers aside, most people in the public service are honest and actually care about their work. This is especially so in PWS, having personally worked with many people there.

Good system and no printer required.

Agree. These days we have heard about metadata and I think this metadata business can lead to bullying if misused.
