Hey taswegions,
Im from victoria, however my sister has moved down to Hobart for work and wants to do some walking. I am going to go and visit her in october and am wondering what would be a good 3 day trip to take her on for her first walk. I am only familiar with the longer trips on the west coast /sth west so some local knowledge would be much appreciated.
thanks.

Walls of Jerusalem is a very popular choice for a) first timers b) 3 day walks c) awesome alpine scenery.
Only real issue is there "might" be snow in October. But that could be said about anywhere up in the hills at that time of year.

If the forecast for the plateau isn't good three days at Freycinet is a great beginners' area.

My vote goes to WOJ. Easily accessible (at least in good conditions) and has absolutely beautiful scenery.

Pine Valley and the Labyrinth. First ferry in the morning and walk in to the Hut, Second day explore the labyrinth, 3rd day walk out and wait for ferry. Although the ferry is abit of a rip off

Though I guess it's Only an overnighter, you could also think about Lake Sandra/Mt Murchison if you wanted something in a different area.

Thanks for those. Ill hope for reasonable weather so we can go WOJ. Prefer to avoid the crowds at Freycinet if possible.
