Can anyone tell me if there is a track that goes directly from Pine Valley Hut down to Lake Marion?
Presumably it would either go over or around Mount Gould and possibly come off the Labyrinth track?
Cheers

These days people would go up on the Labyrinth track and turn off on to pads over the Minotaur and then almost trackless over/around Gould to Gould Plateau.
There are a number of threads with info on this if you search.
I have done this section last year - report at
http://bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=12896From the Gould Plateau you drop down on a good track to meet the Lake Marion track from Narcissus.
There is a discussion of older and probably now long lost tracks at

Iv'e been onto Mt Gould a few times, one of my favorite corners of the Park. The last time (from Gould Plateau) tried to go around the western side of Mt Gould but was forced up onto the top. I'd recommend traversing around the eastern face as eggs mentions unless you really want to bag the peak, it can be a bit airy in places on top. Not too bad if that's your thing but will eat time. I have in mind to see whats left of any track along the base of the Minotaur cliffs later in summer but would take the high route from the Labyrinth (as also mentioned) if it's likely to be a one-off thing. Anything in the valley could be slow going and without the view-fest of staying up high.
