Is 12 days enough to do the WA traverse and the duck out to Feda and back?
We're planning on cruising the WA and then if time and the weather is good pushing hard for a few days (and possibly a lightweight dash to feda and the back via the plains to Scott's peak dam.

I think the times probably sound reasonable.
Its pretty quick to traverse across the Eastern Arthurs compared to the Western.
One thing you might want to consider is walking down the plains with all your food to the start of the Eastern Arthurs, stash your food
(e.g. hang from a tree etc. so the animals don't eat it) climb Fedder then pickup the rest of your food and return to Scotts Peak via a traverse of the Western Arthurs.
I think it would be pretty horrible carrying 12 days worth of food across the Western Arthurs if you didn't have to...
Plenty of options...

hey geoffmallo
Did you manage the WA and scale Fedda in 12 days? Keen to do the full traverse from scotts peak to farmhouse creek climbing both western and eastern arthurs. Have thought 12 days might cover but may need a few extra days.
Have thought of a food drop at cracroft but it could end up animal food and a long trip along the plains.
Let us know how your trip went.
Cheers
