Transport to Scotts Peak from Hobart

My husband and I are looking for transport to Scotts Peak from Hobart on or around 2nd to 4th April 2014.

Evans Coaches (who in my experience are an excellent operator) still run a service on request to Scotts Peak, but there is a minimum charge due to the length of the journey, as understandably they cannot afford to run that service at a loss (it is about 8 hours return for the driver as Evans Coaches are based out of Geeveston).

Also do not forget the taxi as an option, I have used taxis in the past to Scott's Peak, Gordon Dam & Geeveston. Do book ahead so they can allocate a driver & vehicle. Pretty much all the operators would do the trip when I called for costs, and all quoted the same amount.

Evens as noted above have always been excellent but sometimes not able to fit my schedule.

I have often thought of offering a personal transport service to walkers such as yourselves. Surely someone here is keen to earn a few easy bucks?

my and a friend of mine are gonna walk the western arthur next january. We are looking for a lift to scotts peak damn for the 7th of january (2015 ) or closest day, or a cheap way to get there. if somebody else has the same destination and wanna share the costs let me know. Thanks
