Upper Mersey Rd closure

Saw a notice on the weekend to say that the Mersey Valley rd beyond Rowallan bridge will be closed on Wednesday 13th August due to bridge repairs.

I'm not sure which is the Rowallan bridge, but it looks like there will be no access to Lee's paddocks, Lake Myrtle track and Junction lake track from the end of the road, and maybe no access to WOJ(?)

A bit icy on the plateau on the weekend but this fellow didn't seem to mind, although the hours had got the better of him and he was drooping (bit like me).....

I suspect the Rowallan Bridge is the one below Rowallan Dam? which means if you want to access the walks mentioned it means you will need to use the West Rowallan Track adding around 15 to 20 km+ or so to your walk depending on choice.

Per Forestry Tasmania web site:

"Upper Mersey Forest Road - Due to planned bridge maintenance works, the Upper Mersey Forest Road from Rowallan Bridge onwards will be closed from 7am Wednesday 13th August to 7am Thursday 14th August. This will affect access to walking tracks in Lees Paddocks, Walls of Jerusalem, Lake Bill and Little Fisher River areas. (posted 9/07/14)"
