Not strictly bushwalking, but involves a place that a few Tasmanian walkers a pretty familiar with.

"Spurred by her concern about Australia’s approach to climate change, South Hobart resident and registered nurse Jen Boocock is planning to run 150km through Tasmania's rugged wilderness from Scott's Peak Dam to Cockle Creek. Through traversing the entire Southwest Wilderness Area, Jen’s goal is to raise awareness of climate change and is aiming to raise $10,000 for the Climate Council. Typically, bushwalkers will complete this challenging journey - following the Port Davey and South Coast tracks, in up to 16 days, but Jen aims to complete the run in 24- 36 hours."

I have no association with these people, but came across their plans in an email that was circulated around work today. Sounds like it will be a fair effort. And a worthy cause if anyone feels like throwing a few dollars their way.
