Hi all,
I am planning to do The South Coast the second week of October this year & am wondering if anyone has done the walk at that time of year? I have attempted it twice previously from Cockle Creek, once in early Jan & once in early Feb and on both occasions, we decided to turn back due to many days of heavy rain. This time, we will start at Melaleuca & allow nine days total in case we have to wait out the weather again. We are a party of 4 experienced walkers... does anyone have any thoughts or advice for us? I am well aware of how fickle the weather is at all times & am really hoping we get lucky this attempt, but are we being overly optimistic for that time of the year?
