Walking, fishing, packrafting routes?

Hi folks

Over 30 years ago years my walking buddy and I walked up through the platue to the east of St Clair from Mt Ida easteward and then back around to Derwent Bridge via Travellers Rest. I was mostly intrested in trout fishing back then, but it inspired a lifetime love of wilderness and walking that is still with me. Only in the last year have I returned to Tassie and walked the South Coast Track and The Overland and am now looking for a trip that would combine my love of flyfishing and walking and I am hoping to take my packraft also. Would love a trip of 7 to 10 days that takes in a good mix of walking, fishing and perhaps some packrafting (even if it is as a fishing vessel), Could any of you well travelled trout fishingTassie folk suggest a route or area worth doing or investigating? Looking for adventure but nothing too hard core as I am not a fit as I was 30 years ago. I am open to suggestion as to the best time of year too. Thanks in advance :-)

Steve

Central Plateau & outer Walls. Drive in to Lake Augusta or Ada, paddle across and go where thou wilt. Or even walk in to Fanny or Antimony from Ada, and start paddling and fishing right there. Spend as much or as little time as you want.
