my bagged waterfalls

here is my small list of falls ive bagged any info on other falls would be greatly appreciated
Adamsons falls, Creekton falls, Castra falls, Cuckoo falls, Dip falls, Evercreech falls, Grey mares tail, Guide falls, Halls falls, Hardings falls, Holwell falls, Horseshoe falls, Knyvet falls, Lady baron falls, Liffey falls, Lilydale falls, Lobster falls, Lost falls, Mathinna falls, Meadstone falls, Meetus falls, Montezuma falls, Nelson falls, Oldaker falls, Pencil pine cascades, Pencil pine falls, Ralph falls, Russell falls, Silver falls, St columba falls, Victoria falls, Warratah falls. Oh and Delaneys falls aka Preston.

Have you already looked at the list, and the map, and the pictures?

yes mate i have the list and have found several falls that have no maps.
im currently going through the list and trying to find pictures of them all on the net so when i eventually get to them i know what im looking at. I have about 30 more falls ready to go ie have maps and info on them, but info on the net for the lesser known ones are very frustrating to find, try typing any fall in the google search and you end up getting some person of that name who has fallen over or a different fall all together. I have asked tastrekker for assistance in the past and he has been great and he also recommended this site. So i was hoping that i could cross a few falls off the list with info from the walkers on this site heres hoping.

Hi waterfall-bagger. That's an impressive list and you might like to have a look at a new website I am working on for the Mole Creek Tourism Association http://www.molecreek.info as we have quite a few waterfalls in our area. Under Natural Wonders there is a Walks tab and a lot of the walks go to waterfalls. I haven't completed either the list or the descriptions yet, but I'm working on it! Take a look and come back later for more if the information is what you are looking for.

thanks webwoman westmorland falls are already on my list to do ive set out about 4 times now to do them and end up in a cave or wildlife park theres so much to do and see in that area but i will be crossing them off soon hopefully

There are a couple of waterfalls on Constable Creek near St Helens, one unnamed at the lower end, sometimes thought to be Leda Falls (not) and the other locally know as the Dreaming Pools because they are a sequence of four falls into pools on Nevarda creek at the top end of Constable. Ironbark Falls is about 100 metres west of the pools on Constable Creek.

There are some pics in this document plus a bit of background info about the area, size about 1.7 MB.

Almost embarassed post these pics (given the usual high standard of pics usually posted to the board) of New Town Falls but thought is was worth it, given the proximity of the falls to Hobart; only an hour (45 mins of which is on foot) from the GPO. The Lenah Valley Track actually crosses the stream (middle pic) at one of the benches in the falls - there are three sets of falls in total.

OK now I feel brave, here are a couple from Pelverata on Monday, with Slippery falls on the opposite side of the valley.

Thanks for this info. The pools are shown on Tasmaps are "falls" but no name given. I've added them to the wiki list.

I also added a page for Leda Falls in the Waterfalls Category, with the little bit of research I've been able to do. To find Leda Falls it will be important to learn where Saxleby (leasehold of Samuel Wintle) was located. According to one map I have, Saxleby Mines were or near Launceston Creek.

@wayno, I once saw a list of NZ falls, but can't remember where. I know it was impressive. It was a few years back when I was researching the Tassie list.

Here's a photo of Abscida Falls that I took while flying into Melelauca in 2008. The were certainly impressive from the air!

You can see from this view on GoogleEarth, and from your bottom photo, there are multiple lesser upper falls and a much larger lower fall. They certainly do look impressive. Good luck getting a photo without a plane Edit: Standing on that ridge in the foreground of your photo might be the go.
