Arriving from Scotland, I left my winter sleeping bag at home on my journey to Australia, not expecting to be dealing with the sort of minus temperatures one can expect in Tasmania in November potentially(it was a spontaneous decision to head towards the island). My partner and I only have our summer sleeping bags.
I'm wondering if there is anywhere to buy a couple of super cheap heavy, bulky synthetic sleeping bags? I say it can be all of those things because I need two things only from it. It needs to have a genuine comfort rating of -5 degrees and it needs to be cheap, like the cheapest price possible. It doesn't need to be down, built to last, or light. I don't want to have to invest in another good quality winter down, when I have one sitting at home and I don't have the time or the permanent address currently to wait on it's arrival.
If someone on the island would be able to borrow us one or two for a week and in return maybe we could help/volunteer repay the favour in some way, then that would also be fantastic. Or maybe there is good place on the island where someone could prospectively pick up a cheap second hand winter sleeping bag? Any suggestions for two backpackers that need a cheap option in terms of sleeping bags for a week during this trek would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You can probably hire some if that is a solution? Google is your friend in this instance.
