South West National Park Fire Status?

Can anyone advise re conditions in SW National Park if you enter from the East (ie Huon Track)? We have flights booked to arrive this week for a long planned Eastern Aurthurs walk but if its not safe to walk, will have to consider what else to do. Any advice would be great.

Try these, it appears ok at this stage but you would need to check with authorities and always have a plan b

The only large fire in the SW is the Mt Cullen beastie, which is a loooooong way away and should be under control by now. The road closure at Maydena is a bit of overkill in my opinion, as there's no reason going in to Scotts Peak should be an issue.
But access via Farmhouse or the YoYo will be fine as things stand now.

http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/?base=41548The fire at Mt Cullen / The Sentinals is a fair way from the Arthurs, and as far as we know there hasn't been any fires down that way.
So according to the parks website the Eastern Arthurs via the Huon Track is ok.

I walked the huon track to about a kilometre past Blakes opening on the weekend to do a little fishing. There are ALOT of trees down on that track it's like a little obstacle course!!

Thank you to everyone for the good advice
! Back from our amazing walk to Federation Peak (-200 m) via the Huon Track. No fires but did have some rain and wind. A really good way to access - preferred it much more than the button grass plains approach from Scotts Peak and track in fairly good order apart from a section of around 3 km before Blakes Shelter which really was an obstacle course. If I ever walk that track again, I will take along a "pocket saw" and do a little bit of trimming
