Hoping someone can help....
Does anyone possess a downloadable GPS file for a garmin for the ascend up Bastion Bluff...?? Went up yesterday & drew a total blank at the end of Stone Hut track. Found ourselves staring at Bastion with no approach..!! All leads ended up being false.
Any recent & accurate photos would also be fantastic.!
Thx all.!
Was nice to be next to The Beast, but would prefer to be on the top..!

There's a taped route to the base of the obvious scree gully. I've been there twice and had no trouble. I'm assuming you have gone up the Dell Track? I may have a GPS track at home but unlikely...there's an excaellent loop going up the Ironstone track, across Ironstone to Bastion and then down the Dell track.

I went up to Bastion Bluff in September 2016, I went from Smoko Rd. along the Ironstone Mtn. track then turned onto The Dell track. There is a sign on The Dell track pointing to the start of the climb up Bastion Bluff (the sign says Ironstone Mtn.) I have attached a photo of the sign and the rocky route up Bastion Bluff.

Yep, that's the one. I was there last year and the tags/cairns at the top of the Dell track were still easy to follow then.

The Ironstone track is currently a mess, and the Dell track above the junction probably no better. But I should be able to dig out a Garmin file for Bastion given me by a mate . . .
OK, try that. If you have trouble getting it on your GPS, try running it through

I went with a group of Friends up Bastion Bluff on the weekend. We also used NNW GPX, thanks for that. Great walk, the track wasn't too bad and looked like the tape markers had been updated fairly recently up until we hit the Dell track. Unfortunately when we hit the top, we had driving winds and snow so we didn't get to do the traverse to Ironstone Mountain (not being completely sure which one it was)
