Clubs?

Postby NeedBetterAlias » Wed 09 Sep, 2009 9:42 am

Recently moved to Tasmania, and would like to meet youngish people in my age group (35-45) to do some walks with, can anyone recommend any clubs or organisations that meet this group? Seems most have members who are older.

It's worth checking out the clubs. If you don't have any luck, there is a "Find Walking Companions..." forum here which people often use to find other people to walk with. You have to weigh up the risks of meeting up with complete strangers from an internet forum though, of course. I've been on a few walks organised in that forum, and they've all been great. Note that it's not an organisation, as such, and more akin to putting up a notice on a notice board, and hoping somebody else stumbles upon it (read all the long disclaimers in the pink section at the top of that forum).

There's a list of clubs on our wiki, here.
