Tasman Peninsular - Arthurs Peak track

The thread on Fortescue reminded me that on recent trips I've noticed a sign indicating a track to Arthur's Peak leaving the Cape Pillar track about 2.5Km south of Fortescue Bay... Google maps indicates that it exists, but looking at the satellite photos there are no signs of a track and I don't think it's marked on the current Tasmaps map... Has anyone walked in this area recently? Is there a reasonably easy-to-follow track, or should it be considered off-track?

not off-track

fairly easy to follow unless you're very inexperienced or prone to getting lost

Thanks for the reply - might look at scheduling it in as a side trip next time I'm out that way :)

The turn-off is signposted. Impossible to miss unless you're walking blindfolded.

I was thinking of the other end, towards Arthur Peak.

Have seen party members confused there.

I was there last month, flowers were superb. Pad is quite easy to follow. You can view my notes or if you wish download the GPS data. There is also a photo album.
