One for the Kayakers....

Postby stepbystep » Sun 10 Jan, 2010 7:54 am

Hi Folks,
Have just uploaded a clip I produced for the organisers of the Teva Extreme Kayak event held at Cataract Gorge recently, thought it may be of interest to some of you, enjoy!

I guess the subliminal advertising is not so subliminal because it's a dodgy quality youtube video!!

Hmm, I could do with some Tevas, but unfortunately we don't get Tas Hydro this side of the strait.

:lol:Yeah they paid the bill, so it 'aint really subliminal. I have no affiliation with Teva or Hydro Tasmania, other than for this job, this DVD went out free with a kayak mag.
As for the dodgy quality, thanks mate :(

Sorry stepbystep, I didn't mean it was a bad video - just that youtube compresses stuff. I guess that's why I can actually see the "subliminal" frames.

I took a photo of the gorge around that time to... here it is.

Amazing from dry land as well as when your getting slammed by all that water.

No worries James, we(I) can get very defensive of our(my) work  The beat editing which actually doesn't work via YouTube - about a 3 frame delay which doesn't help.
That stuff was obviously put in there to keep sponsors happy i.e. the people that paid me(not much :( ) Unfortunately we could only afford 1 cameraman which was a great shame as the end product suffered badly, and he had to work his butt off. Hopefully next year we will get some real $$$.
P.S. If you can see it, it 'aint subliminal
