Due to the nature of the forecast for this weekend, I've been trying to think about places which are worth walking to even if it's raining. I thought it would be very useful if we had a list of wet weather walks - they could be hut based or maybe waterfalls or lakes. When I went to Pandani Shelf we had some rain, but up there although it hid the amazing views it enhanced the "lost world" experience of the area. Reynolds Falls is another place I thought might be OK to got to in wet weather.

Probably my favourite times walking around Lake St Clair have been in the rain;
it certainly enhances the rainforest & makes an otherwise fairly droll walk into a sensory experience.
The Black Cockatoos which are often seen on this section always add something to the experience too.

Best wet weather walk I ever did was along the Never Never then out onto the Overland Track then back out via Wadley's and Lee's Huts. It bucketed down from Cloisters Lagoon to Junction Lake on the way in. It wasn't because of any protection we had, but when the Mersey starts to fill the waterfalls start pumping. We enjoyed several magnificent waterfalls and I started to think that this circuit - in the right conditions -could be a great waterfalls walk.
