Walls of Jerusalem on a long weekend

Postby Julafreak » Wed 10 Mar, 2010 10:27 pm

Over the last weekend, did a 3 day 3 night walk into the walls with the Uni bushwalking club, hike up to mt. Jerusalem, Solomon's Throne, King David's peak and a successful search mission for an old hut (or what's left of it and can be found on older maps) on the east side of The Temple.

Great photos of this amazing area. Did you get a photo of what's left of the old Temple Hut? Here's a photo from times past on the Kosciusko Huts Association website. http://www.kosciuszkohuts.org.au/Hut%20 ... Temple.htm

ah.. it was a nice hut indeed. What remained were 20 percent of all four walls. I havent got a close up shot of it though. You can see 2 of my friends standing right in the middle of it. :)

From the position of it 'd say that it probably is the oldtemple hut remains. Guess it was dismantled as being unsafe. :?

Great pics thank you. It is a great spot for a long weekend. We flew in from Victoria a couple of years ago and had a long weekend in there. Almost easier than travelling from Geelong to the Australian Alps.

Ah ha, Just checked on my desktop and the full gallery of photos appeared.
My previous post was from my iPhone and for some reason it only loads 100 images from the gallery, and photo 146 was 77. Technology
