I just went to Lake Rhona, which is about a 2 hour drive from Hobart, plus a 6-8 hour walk. Depending on the weather, it is a really good 3-4 days walk, not too challenging, but very rewarding. Other walks could be the southern ranges, Mt Anne circuit, or if you are very keen, a trip to Lake Oberon in the Western Arthurs.

First question - what is your experience level?

That's a very personal question, ollie.

Cape Pillock's a good walk, regartless of experience. As long as you aren't subject to vertigo.
