I'm after some recommendations for camping on Bathurst Harbour (boat accessible) - looking to spend a couple of nights just hanging out, maybe climbing something nearby. I'm aware of campsites at Schooner Cove, Bramble Cove and Horseshoe Inlet. What are these like? Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance

There a boat camp in the little inlet on the western side of Joan Point - where PDT walkers get water. Really neat spot. Or you could use the main campsite, though landing a dinghy near there can be tricky depending on the wind and tide.
Claytons Corner, obviously, which gives you access to the track up Beattie.
Spain Bay, two or three spots suitable for walkers or boats. Then you can walk to Stephens and/or Noyhener.
The Horseshoe walkers camp is quite nice. Spread out, usually dry underfoot, sheltered. Some people don't like it for some reason, but I don't see why.

Appreciate the response north-north-west, handy info. I've heard differing reports on Spain Bay camping but it sounds like there's some reasonable spots for a few tents and I assume water is OK? Does anyone have any info on Schooners Cove?

There are a few small creeks crossing the beaches at Spain. The largest is around the central headland, on the biggest beach, but the best tentsite is close to where the walking track starts/ends. The bay itself is a lovely place.
Can't comment on Schooners.
