I've always heard it said YOU-eht, by those who learnt history from old-timers. But I'll check.

"You-wart" rolls off the tongue more convincingly, so will roll with that until the Nomenclature Police roll up with sticks waving.

One day I'll write a book called "How to Pronounce Tasmanian Place Names" :lol: Assuming no one beats me to the punch.
