Hi guys
Bear with me on this one and be kind ok?
I've never walked in Tassie before BUT I'm pretty experienced elsewhere in Oz and overseas.
Pretty familiar with freezing conditions and the things that go with it.
I'm looking at doing the Western Arthurs trip (9 days) in mid-February.
I've done all the usual prep for this one, but is there anything unusual that I should consider here?
Remember, I'm familiar with tough terrain and straight-on ridges with 1,000+ ascents plus scrub and crap.
Is there something odd, other than just plain Tassie that I need to know about?

I think you will be fine, just remember to pack plenty of food. Even though you are going in February, you can get some pretty horrible weather, and you probably wont see it coming. It looks like you are already giving yourself plenty of time to get through. There are a few fairly exposed spots along the track too. There will likely be plenty of other people on the track at that time of year.

Oh and don't forget to take a PLB, you never know if you're gonna need one!
