I'm taking my Outdoor Leadership class up there soon. Any idea how much snow is there now?

I was there last weekend. Snow was thigh deep. You could hardly move without skis or snowshoes.

That'll be fun with 5 less then experienced walkers then.

How soon is 'soon'?
I think you will find the heavy rains have changed all that since Norts was there, and if we don't get any more snow it will melt pretty quickly - receding to the higher altitudes and even then be patchy.
But thats not a defenitive answer I know.
One thing you can be sure of - it will be WET underfoot.

The 17th and 18th of september. That snow gave me some anxious moments until i realised that it was not falling as snow in the highlands. Wet underfoot is OK, waist deep snow is fine, shoulder deep snow is not.
