Hello. I am planning a trip into Lees Paddocks and intend to camp close to Lees Hut for two nights. Can anyone suggest a nice day walk starting from (and finishing at) Lees Paddocks? Thanks!

when people answer this can they please provide a rough idea of the length, difficulty and any special conditions (likely mud) for any walks? TA!

One nice walk is up to the top paddocks, past Wadleys hut and Ladder falls then up along the Mersey to where the rainforest starts.
This isn't really a circuit but is an interesting walk just the same.
There is also a canyon up along Wurragurra creek which is quite spectacular.

You could head up Lees track to Reedy Lake and on to the Arm River track junction a rise of about 300 m fairly easy walking but not very well marked in some parts and I have no idea how long it would take you to do the( approximately ) 5 km to the junction.
Or a much easier one is to wander up the Paddocks checking out the "caves" and Ladder Falls and on to Wadleys Hut and beyond to the last paddock you could spend hours on this most pleasant easy walk.
Hope this helps

Thanks guys. That's helpful.
It sounds like you enjoy it up there. I'm looking forward to seeing it for myself.

Hi
I have a similar question. But I hope to walk to Pelion hut (two weeks time) via the lees paddock track.
Does anybody know how long it would take? from the road at a normal pace (including a cuppa).
Is the start of the track from lees paddock too arm river easy to find?
Cheers

I can reply to my own question now:
It took 2.5 hours to Lees Paddock and 3.5 hr to Pelion Hut from Lees, including lunch. It only took 3 hours from Pelion hut to Lees paddock.
The track was well marked. Bracken fern on the hill was only just shooting, so the path was easy to follow.

It's a long time since I've walked that way (I prefer the Arm River Track now). From memory, it's 2.5 hours to Lees Paddocks, and then a further 3 or so hours on the Reedy Lake track to Pelion Hut. But my memory may be wrong?

Some folks do have trouble finding the start of the continuation of Lees Track "the Reedy Lake Track" however it is marked with a small sign and when you enter the forest look up to your left for a track marker there are also a couple of spots where the track is not as well defined but you should be fine if you take care.
It is a reasonably lengthy (around 15 km) walk so allow yourself at least six hours to get to Pelion more if you want to take in the Waterfalls on the Mersey but you do have a few really nice camping spots along the way if you start to run out of time.

There are a few patches on that track that always seem to be muddy, even when it's fairly dry weather. Mostly though it's pretty good and shouldn't put newbies off too much. There are a couple of small, shallow creek crossings but they can be crossed on stones etc.
Have a nice walk, it's a beautiful place.
