Next month we are doing a 5 day walk from Cradle Mtn down to Pelion hut and then out via the Arm River Track. I've walked the Overland on a number of occassions but never used the Arms River exit. Appreciate any advice, is it any easy route? Does anyone has GPS co-ordinates for the Arm River carpark where we are being collected?

It's an excellent track, as good as most of the OLT itself. As an example, there are some stretches with quite a bit of boardwalk. Sorry, I don't have co-ords, but if you can get lost on the ART you'll be doing pretty well. The track is very well described in John Chapman's Cradle Mt/Lk St Clair/Walls book (p110 in my copy).

Yer, nice track. Someones posted the carpark co-ordinates before havent they? Anyhow, once on the loop road (which turns off just past the end of the bitumen) its not hard to find the signposted Arm River turn-off.

I'd recommend climbing Pillinger on your way out the Arm River Track. The views are great. It's well described in Chapman.
