Fluted cape and Cape Queen Elizabeth....

Just wondering if anyone has some current info on the water supply etc. in these areas.... looking for shorter trips with kids... been a while since I was around there.

Hey mate.
Not much water out those ways, though the creek at the hut on Miles beach actually had water in it for the first time i've ever seen. I still wouldnt have drunk it. Only very short walks though, so wouldnt be too hard to carry.

was thinking of pushbiking from kettering then doing a bit of walking after dumping the bikes... might be lazy and take the car though... you wanna bring Seth? wasn't any water years ago... just wondered if it had changed....

i have a three-and-a-half year old cute boat-anchor taggin along -it'd put me 6' under to run it with her and the gear ..... but i sprinted it last night.... does it count in a dream?

Well actually, there were a few people 'sprinting' at the end of the course last Saturday (Bruny Island Ultra Marathon).......although they were the people who entered the 64km event as a team so probably had a bit more gas left in the tank than I did as I was heading up to the finish at the lighthouse! :shock:

I was offshore from Fluted Cape the other day. Amazing to see the fire damage. A lot of it is Casuarina and won't recover for a long time. From what I could tell the walking track isn't affected though.

The walking track's fine, apart from one or two melted arrows and a couple of treefalls.
