Break-ins At Snug Falls

Postby ronin » Sun 15 Jan, 2012 3:54 pm

Just got back from a walk to Snug Falls and noticed 5 patches of car window glass in the last car park, some of it looked fresh.
Just a warning to all that the idiots are out and about and to make sure you hide or take all valuables with you.
I can't help but worry every time i leave the car and take off, it's always in the back of your mind and at some places (like this one) it can sometimes take the shine of what should be an enjoyable time.

I've had a car broken into at the summit of Mt Wellington. A friends handbag containing her wallet and camera were taken. *&%$#!.

Habbit from living in inala darra western brisbane i allways ensure my car looks completely empty not even spair change in side doors. I achieve this quite easyily by getting a dark towel that matches the seat colour and just having everything under it on back seat. When there looking in hopefully theres nothing they can actually see so can only assume the possibility of getting caught for possibly nothing isnt worth it. Allso i make sure all cables iphone docks gps holders etc are removed and quickly thrown in glovebox. I cant imagine the joyrideing teen problem isnt to bad in tasmania. Need to be shown how to do most that stuff and on particular models with such a low population its probably just left for the semi/pros?

With an avatar like his, I am assuming that is a rhetorical question.

try leaving the glovebox open so there is no temptation to break in to see if there are any goodies stashed there
