walking in the dolomites

Wed 10 Apr, 2013 8:57 pm

Hi, my husband and I are planning to visit the dolomites in september 2013, we want to stay at hostels along the way, not very experienced mountain climbers, but we have done alot of bushwalking and last year walked the Camino de Santiago. I am just starting out finding information for our holiday so any advice, information and internet sites etc would be appreciated. Regards, sierra

Also try these:

Get on to the accommodation asap because bookings are pretty solid.
My wife and I will be there in late August.

Sierra, I've got an Italian friend who just moved back home after 5 years in Aus, but she lives very close to that region and has walked there extensively. If you PM me with your email address I can put you in touch direct. I'm sure she'll have some good tips of places to avoid and good places to go off the beaten track.

Try Cicerone Guidebooks, quite a few of them are on Italy, including hard or easier walks.
