So where the *&%$#! hell are you?

I'm a lurker here since I walked the Overland Track a couple of years back. This (northern) summer I did an excellent trail in Northern Norway, and I think many of you guys probably never heard about it. If you ever plan on doing some serious hiking in Europe someday, this one might be an option for you. At least I hope to convince you that the Arctic can be every bit as green and lush as Tasmania during the summer "heat".

It's a brand new national park in Northern Norway, easy to reach by fairly cheap flights from Oslo. It's called Rohkunborri, and it's true wilderness. It's just half a day's walk from the nearest road either from the Norwegian or the Swedish side, and it can be included as a section of an 800 km long trail, Nordkalottleden. The best season for it is late June to mid-August.

Anyway, let's move on to the photos:

I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding hiking in Northern Norway.

Happy trails!

Stunningly beautiful. We will definitely have to get up that way when we go home to Sweden next time :!:
Thanks for sharing.
