On Sunday, August 7, at 8:56 P.M., Josh Perry—a 27-year-old British hiker with no fixed address—reached the Canadian border, finishing the 2,600-mile trail just 55 days, 16 hours, and 54 minutes after he departed the trail’s starting point near the U.S. border with Mexico.
