Gates of the Arctic, Alaska

I've been enjoying this blog/trip report from a lad who went solo, off the beaten track in the Gates of the Arctic NP, the most inaccessible and remote park the US has.
http://nerdventurer.blogspot.com/Fantastic scenery, and a good writing style. Make me wonder what the Australian equivalent would be. The Gibson for remoteness, I guess, or Cape York.

Excellent trip report. I look forward to reading the rest of it. I was particularly struck by this quote:
